Lahme Bi Ajin Two Ways

 

Ingredients: 

  1. 1/2 kg fine lamb mince
  2. 1 large onion chopped
  3. 1 tsp Lebanese 7 Spice
  4. 1 tsp Paprika
  5. 2 tomatoes finely chopped
  6. ½ tsp Extra virgin olive oil
  7. Salt
  8. 1 tbs Harissa/red chilli paste (optional)
  9. 2 Pita Breads

 

Ingredients:

  1. 1 tbs tahini
  2. 1 ½ tsp vinegar
  3. 3 tsp plain yogurt
  4. 3 tsp pomegranate molasses
  5. 250g fine lamb mince
  6. 3 tbs extra virgin olive oil
  7. 1 small onion, peeled and finely chopped
  8. 3 tbs finely chopped parsley
  9. 1 ½ tbs finely chopped mint
  10. 2 tbs pinenuts
  11. 2 Pita breads
  12. Salt to taste

 

Method: 1

  1. Add chilli tomato paste, diced tomato, diced onion, 7 spice and salt to the meat and gently combine. Add salt to taste.
  2. Flatten mixture onto a pita bread, spread out completely to the sides.
  3. Cook in the oven for 8-10 minutes.

 

Method: 2

  1. Combine all wet and dry (spices, herbs,nuts,sauces and yogurt) ingredients to the meat and combine. Add salt to taste.
  2. Flatten mixture onto a pita bread, spread out completely to the sides.
  3. Cook in the oven for 8-10 minutes.
