How To Make Pluto Pups With Fettayleh Smallgoods

Ingredients:

  1. 1 cup of polenta
  2. 1 cup plain flour
  3. Pinch of salt
  4. 2 tbs chicken spice mix
  5. 1 tsp smoked paprika
  6. 1 tsp black pepper
  7. ¼ cup white sugar
  8. 4 tsp baking powder
  9. 1 egg
  10. 1 cup of milk
  11. Oil for frying
  12. 2 packs of Fettayleh American skinless hotdogs
  13. 1 tsp Ground chilli (optional)
  14. Skewers

 

Method:

  1. In a medium bowl combine, combine polenta, flour, chicken spice, paprika, pepper, sugar, salt and baking powder. Stir in eggs and milk.
  2. Cut the hotdog in half to make a ‘mini’ sized hotdog. Insert skewer about ¾ into the hotdog. Roll hotdogs in batter until well coated.
  3. Preheat oil in a deep saucepan over medium heat.
  4. Deep fry hotdogs 2 to 3 at a time until lightly browned. Drain excess oil onto paper towel.
  5. Serve with tomato sauce and mustard.
